Optional Teams for Fort Aspenwood/Jade Quarry
With the recent changes to the faction award systems for the co-operative Fort Aspenwood and Jade Quarry missions in Factions, I believe that the raised stakes for victory mean that simple, random teams no longer make these missions appeal to me. To me, fighting six times for the Luxons and getting only about 3000 faction total made it a waste of my time in terms of gaining faction. For the record, I netted 2 wins and 4 losses, with each loss getting me a max of 300 faction, and each win got me about 800 faction. I spent about a total of 2-3 hours playing Fort Aspenwood in this time.
In light of this, I feel that Anet should look at allowing optional teams for these missions. Players that don't want a team/don't have a team can simply just click 'enter battle', while I propose that other people can gather up to 4 people a team.
When each 'team' of 1-4 people hits the enter button, the system assigns them a number and notes the number of people in the party. The computer then starts the with the next number on the list, notes the number of people, and proceeds to the next number until it reaches eight people, then the battle ensues.
While this may need to be implemented differently depending on how GW is programmed, I feel that, considering that we basically get next to nothing for losing, trying to form a co-ordinated team may be the best chance players have for victory.

/signed, with the addition of the blessing of the kurzicks/luxons giving you faction, the pvp areas just are not as appealing. this would definetly make me want to do aspenwood much more often.... as of now you get leechers and losers...

Bad idea. You'll get the kurzicks forming teams of bonders and healers making it impossible to get into the place. You'll get kurzicks organising as much fire power as they can.
@tenshi: As for leechers thats a common problem that even teams doesn't solve 100%. And what do you mean by losers. Do you want to make a team of 'pro' players slinging around elitst comments.

no i just dont want eles using rebirth on me...... seriously it has happened...
also you know what owns bonders.... rend enchantments or well of profane or mirror of disenchant. and scourge healing would be good too, teams would not make it impossible for the luxons just change the strategies a bit....

But you can't deny it would become more predictable than it is now.

and you cant deny it would become more useful to get faction from than it is now.... aspenwood would become an ha version of ab, and i would like that.... it would allow some gimmick builds to be made, and really it would not be overly predictable. but yes many people would use the same build over and over
